Mario then encounters rocky ledges that he must climb on and avoid two nearby Stone Spikes and two Koopa Paratroopas. A Koopa Paratroopa flying over a pit is next to the second Stone Spike. Once you have it, immediately jump to the left and behind the wall to avoid the next flash.Mario begins the level near two Stone Spikes on platforms, with a ? Block containing a power-up in between them. When they fall down, you will fall into the coin. Wait for the flash, then stand on the top set of blocks. Continue to the right, and you'll see the last Star Coin floating above the lava. Stand behind each stone wall while the Koopalings' flash illuminates the screen (if it hits, you'll be turned into stone). Thankfully, the third Star Coin is a doddle by comparison. To get back to the entrance so you can continue through the course, simply jump to the left off of the star coin platform and you should easily be able to flutter back to the green tile platforms. This method allows you take your time without the pressure of the moving green tiles and the rising lava. Run quickly back and forth to build your running meter once it's full, jump to the left and fly past the moving green tiles, past the power-ups blocks and right onto the platform with the star coin. ( Make sure you have the Super Leaf equipped) After you enter through the door into the area with the second star coin, you'll notice there is a small path between the door and a ledge leading to the moving green tile platforms. If you let them move above the Star Coin, you won't be able to reach it. When riding the blocks that move in a stair pattern, you have to jump ahead, grab the coin, and then jump back onto the blocks before they pass you by. The second Star Coin also requires very good timing.
